Eng. Mehedi Hasan is a prominent entrepreneur in
Bangladesh. He is the Chairman & Founder CEO of Omicon
Group of Industries. Mr. Hasan Possesses impeccable
integrity, passion to win and known to be enterprising in
last 12 years of professional career which earned him
numerous national and international awards for management
and product excellence in Printing & Publications
Sector. He is also a founder Director of The Farmers Bank
Limited and sponsor Director of Apollo Hospital. Mr. Hasan
is General Body Member of The Federation of Bangladesh
Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI), the apex trade
body of the country. He is also General Body Member of Dhaka
Chamber of Commerce and Industries (DCCI), Director of
Bangladesh Publishers & Booksellers Association (BAPUS).
Initially Mr. Hasan's father, an honorable Science
teacher, Mr. Shahidul Islam established Lecture Guide House
back in 1986 to publish reference books to facilitate
student's exam preparation. Mr. Hasan took over his
father's business as second generation in 2006 and from
that humble begin he cultivates the business exponentially
and expanded the group globally. Mr. Hasan has completed his
Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering (COE) from
American International University-Bangladesh. Upon his
successful completion of academic studies, he focused his
complete devotion to Business arena and excelled against all
the odds.
M. SHARIF UL ALAM has degree in Master of Business Administration (MBA). He joined OMICON Group in 2007 and has more than 17 years of experiences in various national and international organizations. Over the last 10 years, as Managing Director, Mr. Alam has been the driving force behind Omicon's expansion, providing the vision and the executional leadership central to an unprecedented period of growth and continued success. As Managing Director, Mr. Alam is responsible for positioning Group's sister concern Lecture publications Ltd as market leader in Bangladesh with about 65% market share in books authoring, production, marketing and distributions sector. As a result of his leadership and quality control, Lecture Publications Ltd. is certified under ISO 9001:2008 for Quality Management System.

Junior Chamber International (JCI) Bangladesh on Friday honoured 10 youths with Ten Outstanding Young Persons (TOYP) Award 2021 in recognition of their outstanding contributions to society.The event was organised at a resort in Cox’s Bazar where Information and Broadcasting Minister Hasan Mahmud was present as the chief guest. Besides, Cox’s Bazar-2 MP Asheq Ullah Rafiq and Cox’s Bazar-3 MP Shaimum Sarwar Kamal joined the ceremony as special guests. JCI Bangladesh President Niaz Morshed Elite presided over the event. Every year, JCI Bangladesh honours 10 outstanding young people under the age of 40. The awardees of 2021 are — Barrister Mohammad Iftekhar Jonaed, Tajdin Hassan, Dr Ashikur Rahman, Monir Hosen, Zia Ashraf, Asif Zahir, Engr Mehedi Hasan, Sasheen Masood Hassan, Barrister Sheikh Fazle Nayem, and Al-shahriar Ahmed. JCI is a global organisation of young leaders aged 18-40 who are dedicated to bringing about a positive change for themselves and the world.
